Obituary

Artemeisa was born on September 21, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia, to her parents Aramintha and Amos Copeland. She peacefully passed away in her sleep on March 7, 2026, at home, in the place where she wanted to be.

She was the tenth of eleven children, growing up in a large family where love, resilience, and togetherness were part of everyday life. Being surrounded by so many siblings helped shape the caring, strong, and family-centered woman she would become. Family meant everything to Artemeisa. She was the proud mother of two daughters, Monique Gullory and Feburell Milling. Her children were among her greatest joys, and she carried a deep and lasting love for them throughout her life. Although Artemeisa experienced heartbreaking losses, including the passing of her beloved daughter Feburell and her grandson Vincent Moore, her strength never wavered. Even through difficult times, the love she had for her family remained constant.

Artemeisa leaves behind those who will continue to carry her memory forward. She is survived by her daughter Monique Davis, her cherished granddaughter Victoria Moore, four loving sisters, and many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her. Those who knew Artemeisa will remember her in many ways, through her spirit, her love for family, and the moments she shared with those around her. The memories we hold today like her smile, her words, and the time we spent together, are gifts that we will cherish forever. While today we feel the sadness that comes with saying goodbye, we are also grateful for the blessing of having had her in our lives. Her story is not only about the years she lived, but about the love she gave, the relationships she built, and the family that continues because of her.

As Jehovah's Witnesses, we also find comfort in the promises found in the Bible. Jehovah assures us that death is not the end. In Acts 24:15, the Bible gives us the hope that "there is going to be a resurrection." This promise reminds us that those we love are not forgotten. Artemeisa is safe in Jehovah's memory, and we look forward to the time when He will bring back those who have fallen asleep in death. That hope brings us comfort today. It reminds us that this goodbye is not forever, but only for a time. One day, according to Jehovah's promise, we will have the opportunity to welcome our loved ones back again. Until that day comes, we hold on to the love, the memories, and the lessons Artemeisa shared with us. Her life, her strength, and her love for her family will continue to live on in each of us. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her love will remain with us always. And so today, while our hearts are heavy, we also hold on to the hope Jehovah has given us. We look forward to the day when death will be no more and families will be reunited. Until that time, we will remember Artemeisa with love, gratitude, and the comfort that one day we will see her again.
