Billy Ray Little, 77, passed away holding his wife's hand on August 25, 2018. Billy was born January 27, 1941 in Johnston County, North Carolina, and was the younger of two children born to Albert Lee and Myrtle Emily Little.

Billy spent most of his childhood in Emporia, Virginia before moving with his family to Portsmouth, Virginia where he met the love of his life, Cookie. They were wed in May of 1964 and raised four beautiful children.

Billy was a disabled veteran who served in the Army as a Communications Specialist.

He was preceded in death by both parents and older sister Faye Copeland. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 54 years Cookie Little, son Darren Little, daughter Alisa Cosenza and husband Wendell, daughter Michelle Smith and husband Danny, son David Little, grandchildren Cody Smith and wife Jacqueline, Zachary Smith, Willow Cosenza, Sam Cosenza, great granddaughter Brynn Smith, and his beloved dog Duke who has been his constant companion.

He dearly loved his Creator Jehovah God and had the hope to live forever in the paradise on Earth that the bible promises.

A small gathering of family and friends will celebrate his life at a later date.
