On Tuesday, October 14, 2014, David Leroy Cropper was called home to be with the Lord. He was predeceased by his father Sewell Cropper, his mother Bertha Logan, and a brother, James Logan. David was born on June 12, 1940 in Wattsville on the Eastern Shore of VA. He obtained his education there and relocated to Virginia Beach in the early 1960's. "Crockett", as he was affectionately known by family and friends, retired in 2008 from SB Ballard Construction Company. His smile and sense of humor that we all loved over the years will be truly missed but never forgotten. We will always have the precious memories to share with one another of the time that we had with him. He leaves to cherish his memories, Virginia Cannady, his devoted companion of nearly 40 years. Six sons, Dominic, David, Derrick and Davon Cannady. Michael Cooper, all of Virginia Beach. Terry Haynes of Virginia Beach. Two daughters, Deshanna Cannady and Michelle Collick of Virginia Beach. One brother, Ralph Logan, of Fredricksburg, VA. Thirteen grandchildren an a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
