Donna Louise Normand, age 83, loving mother of three, grandmother of ve, great
grandmother of eight, and loving wife to husband Leon G Normand passed away in the
morning hours of 13th of April 2025. Donna was born in Portland, Maine in 1942 and
grew up in Saco, Maine surrounded by her large family of nine siblings. Donna was
inuenced by her own mother to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her
time to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood. She met her husband
Leon in May, 1960 and fell in love instantly and knew they both shared a love for family
and decided to start their own. As a mother she was generous loving and kind. She was
the disciplinarian in the family, and the kids really felt that sometimes. As a
grandmother and great grandmother she was absolutely thrilled about her family
growing even bigger. She always tried to surround herself with her friends and family,
which is where she felt most comfortable and loved. The latter part of her life
was tough medically but she kept on going not letting it keep her down.
In her free time Donna liked to do arts and crafts, especially plastic canvas. She will be
greatly missed by her family especially her two daughters Peggy and Terry and her son
Lee who love her very much.
We know that we can't have you with us right now, but we're glad knowing that you
are at peace, and no more pain. So today we're here to say goodbye to a wonderful
woman, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
