Dorothy Jeannette Bacs departed this life peacefully on October 24, 2024, at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA. Dorothy was affectionately known as "Jeannette" to her family and dearest friends. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend to many.

Born on September 2, 1944, to the late Lewis Morgan and Dorothy (Lundy) O'Neal. Jeannette married Andy Bacs Sr., and together they raised three beautiful children. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a member of the Landstown Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.  All who knew her, knew about her love for and faith in Jehovah God.

Throughout her life, Jeannette enjoyed numerous hobbies and interests, finding solace and joy in the simple moments spent with her family and friends.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors with her plants and flowers and loved rabbits. She was an avid chess player, loved old movies, books, and traveling. Jeannette will be dearly missed by her children Lynnette Jones and Charlie Bacs, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.  She touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly for her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit.

Jeannette is preceded in death by her beloved husband Andy Bacs, Sr., her son Andy Buddy Bacs Jr, and her brother Tony O'Neal. She is survived by her loving children Lynnette (Mark) Jones, and Charlie (Corey) Bacs, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
