Karen J.
Brown
September 5, 1956 – August 23, 2025
On Saturday, August 23, 2025, Karen passed away unexpectedly in Richmond, Virginia. She is survived and was loved by many, her children: Dennis Williams, Emily Sutton, Aaron Williams, Ashley Hudgins (Darius) and Timothy King (Toresha). Her grandchildren: Miles, Anais, Jasper, Maddison, MacKenzie, Brianna, Roman, Amaiya, Gavin, and Takoma. Her mother Joyce Brown, her sisters Kimberly Burgess, and Kelly Fulton (William), her brother Herbert Brown (Maureen) along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
It is so hard for her family to believe that this is true because Karen was so alive! She loved Jehovah, her children and grandchildren, her mother, sisters (the three K's), and her family. In her love for Jehovah, she believed in His Word the Bible. Scriptures like 1 Corinthians 15:21, 22, 25, 26 where it speaks of the hope of the resurrection and the elimination of the last enemy death. So, this was her dream, that all her family would follow her in this same hope that soon will be realized in the near future.
Karen was born on September 5th, 1956, at Bronx Hospital in New York City. She later dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized in 1972. She also graduated from Westbury High in 1972 and enrolled in Berkeley Claremont Secretarial School. After graduation she reached her goal in becoming a full-time Pioneer in 1975. She later was married to Dennis Williams in 1977 and in 1978 her first son Dennis was born. This began her life as a mother and later a grandmother. She later returned to the full-time Pioneer work and had the joy of serving and attending Pioneer School with her mother, and sister (Kelly).
Besides her spiritual goals, her passion was her family, trying new things to eat, traveling with her sisters and children, and sci-fi. She once waited in line for hours with her brother William to attend a Star Trek Convention. She will be remembered for her adventurous nature, kind and giving spirit, and her devotion to her family.
