Lana Mills Gatewood of Norfolk VA-

Lana Mills Gatewood of the 6000 block of Benton Street passed away January 9, 2021 in Virginia Beach VA at age 77.  She was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Pauline Jones Mills and was a convenience store manager.  She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Virginia Beach VA.

She is survived by her husband Gary G. Gatewood, a son and daughter, Brian K. Giles and his wife, Faith of Culpeper VA and Karen E. Wallace and her husband Dale Wallace of Pelham NC; a sister Peggy J. Rogers of Forest VA; and four grandchildren, Samual, Katherine, Nathan and Robert Wallace.  She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Carmen G. Wooten and granddaughter Landi Wooten.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at Calvary Baptist Church, 4832 Haygood Road Virginia Beach, VA on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 10:50 a.m.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all staff at Sentara Leigh Memorial in Norfolk and Sentara Hospice House in Virginia Beach for the care they provided during her last few days.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
