Loney Payne was born to Andrew and Cora Payne on December 13, 1932. She was spoiled as the youngest of three children with her brother Andrew being seventeen years older and her sister Aline being fi­ve years older. She grew up in Mobile, Alabama where she enjoyed the company of many relatives and the peaceful country life which she especially enjoyed! While working at the Admiral Sims Hotel, she met James Brown. They married on September 21, 1950. From their union they had two children, Adelbert and Denise. She was a kind and loving mother with a wonderful sense of humor! A Knock on the door ended up as a bible study in 1962. She dedicated her life to do Jehovah's will and started to Pioneer on October 1, 1992. She was a loyal servant of Jehovah for thirty-one years! She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Denise Hill, a son-in-law, Ronald Hill, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
