Maria was born in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico on December 3, 1940 to the late Felix Morales and the late Dominga Rivera.  She graduated form the New York City Public School system.

She is survived by her children; John Maldonado and his wife Iris of Montana, Maria Wright, Brenda and her husband Luis Rodriguez, Debra and her husband David Wills, Jerome Olson and fiancée Melissa Evans, all of Virginia Beach.

Grandchildren: Jason, Anthony, Julie, Katy, Michael, Debra, Jack, and Brandon.

Great grandchildren: Jordan, Mia, Maci, Lina, J.J. and Sloane.

She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, reading and spending time with her family.

She will be remembered as a kind and generous woman who cared more for others than herself.
