Lydia Henry Young was born May 15, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Edward Young and Lydia Ward. To this union was born two children, Kay Young being the eldest and Lydia, the younger.  Lydia grew up in Deliverance Evangelistic Church singing in both the Young Adult choir and the Chancellor Choirs.  Lydia was a Devout Christian her whole life.

Years: She attended West Philadelphia High School where she graduated and later become an Operating Room Technician.  Lydia was married two times, ounce to Vincent Barnett Sr. and then to Peter Sutton.

Dedicated: Left to share her memories are seven children: Her caretaker, Angel Batten, Huron Mon (Monique), Lydia Terry, Vincent Barnett Jr (Tracey), Davetta Taylor, Valerie Young and one stepchild, Keith White. Twelve Grandchildren:  Shalanda Sutton, Terreka Sutton, Chinese Sutton, Rashad Ayres, Jaedon Mon, Christian Mon, Edgar Lee II, Edward Lee, Vincent Barnett III, Rodney Taylor, Reginald Glover, Brian Glover. Six Great grandchildren:  Elise Baker, Su'Ryan Sutton, Trinity Sutton, ZaAnthony Sutton, Taylor Walker, Brianna Taylor.  Aunt Rachel Moore, Nephew Wayne Young, Three Cousins:  John Baker, Vinnie Thompson and Truman Herbert.  Our loving Support Dog Zoe and a host of family and friends.

Inevitably: Lydia was always the voice of reason. She loved to sing and praise the Lord.  Listening to gospels made her soul happy.  She always helped those less fortunate and she made the best Sweet Potato Pie on the planet. Her favorite color was purple.

Advantageously: Lydia loved the word of God and she has several favorite scriptures; Honor thy mother and Father so that your life may be long on the land Exodus 20:10 kjv. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to GOD, and the peace of GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, according to Philippians 4:6
