Marie A. Wood was born April 1, 1923 in Creswell, NC and passed away very peacefully on October 20, 2015. She leaves behind 2 daughters, Rose Marie Krauss and Kamarie Moore, along with 2 grandchildren, Rebecca Seedorf and Raymond Moore. Over the years, many others have adopted her as their second mother and grandmother. She was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many that crossed her path over the years. Her house was always filled with love, laughter and friends of all ages even as far back as the 60's when she became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and there was only one congregation in Norfolk. Since then the congregations grew as did her list of many friends. She had a heartfelt love and compassion for taking care of her friends, not just in health but also in sickness. Her friends and family will miss her cooking, laughter, her smile, her devotion to Jehovah and the courage and strength that she had in life, even up to the end.
