Mary L.
Wilkins
May 21, 1948 – February 1, 2024
On February 1, 2024, our beloved Mary Louise Wilkins passed away.
Mary was born May 21, 1948 in Cairo, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Lewis Brown, Mary Bell Brown, her brother Jimmie Brown, Jr., her grandmother Francis Brown, and nephew Tyrone Brown. Mary was caring, loved, friendly, generous, supportive, and a hardworking person.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on January 19, 1980, and she loved serving Jehovah up until she fell asleep in death. She was a regular pioneer (full-time servant) who loved talking to people when phone witnessing. She was always more than punctual for meetings and field service.
She retired after 35 years at The Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health. She loved spoiling her grandkids, was always available when needed, and she loved eating or social gatherings with friends.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Kecia Cook (David Cook, III), grandkids, Kiara Cook, Micah Cook, Elijah Cook. Her sisters June Brown (Springfield Illinois), May Nunn (Springfield Illinois), and brother Elbert Brown (Dale Brown, Loganville, Ga.), 4 nephews, 5 nieces and a host of cousins.
Mary was dearly loved by family and friends. She will be truly missed.
