Obituary

Our beloved Nazarine Williams, who was better known as "Naz", fell asleep in death Tuesday,
February 9, 2021. She was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, November 25, 1936.

While visiting family in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, she met Clifton Williams Jr. The two
became inseparable which led to a lifelong relationship. After marrying March 18,1960, they
made Virginia Beach their home. She worked many years for the Virginia Beach school system,
from which she retired.

Naz was usually a mild and gentle person, that enjoyed a good laugh. This was especially the
case when she was surrounded by family and friends. She loved her family and enjoyed her
friends. She appreciated having a simple life, like going to the beach, crabbing, doing one-day
trips to the mountains or visiting relatives in Elizabeth City. Gardening was another favorite, due
to her love of plants and flowers, which she sometimes shared with others. Being that she was
health conscious, she tried to be mindful of how she cooked. The family however, would rave
over her fish cakes and eggplants, saying that they were her signature dishes. Yet okra was her
favorite.

The greatness and major change in her life took place on September 14, 1968. This is when she was
baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. That decision gave her even more joy and
contentment, as well as a true hope for the future. It caused her to live her life in a way that she
learned was pleasing to God. That was highly important to her. She engaged in the field ministry
and sometimes took her boys along. She was ever so eager to share the wonderful blessings of
"God's Kingdom ", with any that would care to listen.

For a certainty, our precious Nazarene Williams would be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband Clifton Williams Jr, she leaves behind four sons: Anthony (Tony)
Williams & Vera, Fidel Williams, and Knod Williams & Traniqua, all residents of Virginia Beach.
Clifton Williams 3rd resides in Nevada. Her stepdaughter Shauneilla & Gus Groce including their
daughters: Tameka, Simone, and Jasmine lives also the live in Virginia Beach. She also leaves
behind her "lil buddy"and the "apple of her eye", grandson Knod Breshawn Williams. Her sisterin-laws,                        Theola(deceased), JoAn, Betty(deceased), Frances, Coneal, Lennie and Tempie, she
literally claimed as her sisters because of their special bond. Of course there are a host of family
and friends that are too numerous to mention, but we all mourn the loss.
