Patricia "Ree" Rogers, 72 passed away peacefully at home October 5, 2018.  She was born June 27, 1946 in New York at Queens General Hospital to her late parents, Amos Rogers and Sarah Blackmon.

However, at a very young age Ree moved to Hartsville, SC and was raised by her grandmother the late Millie Blackmon, along with her two sisters, Glenda and Amy as well as her uncles and aunts as siblings.

As a teenager Ree returned to New York to begin her journey as an adult.  She worked for 28 years with the NYC Board of Education.  A year after her retirement, she moved here to Virginia Beach, VA to join her daughter.

Although, Ree said she was not interested in going to Church anymore.  Once visiting Kingdom Reign Church (KRC), Ree immediately felt at home and attended KRC every Sunday up until the Lord called her home  As much as she loved KRC, she knew everyone at KRC loved her in return.

Ree loved to help, however she could and especially enjoyed serving at special functions.  Those who knew Ree knew that she loved to cook, dance and make people laugh.  Ree may not have been the life of the party, yet she brought life to the party.

Ree leaves to cherish her memory her only child, Juanita Rogers, two grandsons, Rodney Sams, Jr. and Tiani Bolden, a great grandson, Sharod Sams, two sister-aunts (Lula and Barbara), three nephews (Amos, Edward, Jr. and Larry), three nieces (Lori, Kathy and Sharon), several cousins and so many loving friends.
