Ramon Villamor Espeleta Jr was born on December 14, 1950 in Masbate, Philippines to Ramon & Concepcion Espeleta. Ramon is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rebecca Papa Espeleta; His children, Karen Espeleta, Rare Espeleta, and Romaine Davenport (Russell); Granddaughters Klarissa Anne Marte and Karina Davenport; His eldest sister, Rose Marie Nimo as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his parents, sister Linda Manago, and brother Renee Espeleta.

Ramon was 1 of 4 children. Dionie as he was fondly known, had a love for music, animals, fishing and bowling. His favorite pastimes included playing chess, his guitar, and singing karaoke. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from Centro Escolar University and served 20 years in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman.

Ramon was a Jehovah’s Witness and dedicated his life to Jehovah in the Philippines in 1975 and again in the United States in 2002.

Ramon passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday May 17, 2026 at 10:49am at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 2106 Salem Rd. in Va Beach, on Saturday, May 30 at 6:00pm.
