Sandra (Sandy) B. Brown Veale, 64 of Norfolk, Virginia lost her battle to cancer on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. She is now home singing for God and His angels. She was born on July 28, 1950 in Norfolk to the late Fred and Louise Brown. She was the wife of the late James Veale. Sandy leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, T. Brown and a son Dominic Veale Sr. and his wife Candice, siblings Lillian Lassiter, Lindsey Brown (Rosa), Gregory Brown, Cheryl Brown, Regina Griffin, Virgie Little, Phyllis Brown, Timothy Brown and Reginald Brown (April), 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her loving companion William Martin. Sandy was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She sang in a number of Blues bands over the years. She was known in the Blues world as "Queen of the Blues" and touched the hearts of many. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
