Mr. Thellis Thomas Barnes "Tee" a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Suffolk, VA passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth, at the age of 66.  He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, VA.  Thellis was a graduate of Davidson High School in Mobile, AL.  He was a Merchant Seaman with Military Sealift Command and Seafarer International Union over a span of 30 years.  He travelled the world and visited every continent.  Thellis will always be remembered for his special smile, caring heart, and warm embrace.

Born February 13, 1955, in Mobile, AL to the late Tommy Barnes and Allean Bowers Barnes.  Thellis leaves to cherish loving memories, wife, Tawana Barnes of Suffolk, VA, One brother, Robert Barnes of Lithonia, GA, One son, Xavier O'Neal of Suffolk, VA, One daughter, Tiffany (Carl) White of Mobile, AL, eight grandchildren and a host of devoted relatives, cousins, and friends.
