Walter Randall
Jarrett
February 25, 1962 – August 11, 2023
Walter Randall Jarrett of Chesapeake, Virginia affectionately known as "Walt", touched the lives of many as a devoted Father, Son, Brother, and Poppop. At the age of 61, he peacefully passed away on Friday, August 11th, 2023, in Norfolk, Virginia.
Walter's memory lives on through his surviving family members: his beloved Deborah Jarrett, cherished children Jennifer and Jonathan Ritter, Cassandra and Joshua Rodriguez, and his adored grandchildren Karleigh Rae, Kierstyn Marie, Wyatt, Jacob, and Chase. He is also remembered by his parents and siblings, Blaine and Mattie Jarrett, Blaine Jarrett Jr, Dianna (Robert) Zerby, Deborah (Perry) Thomasson, Rodney Jarrett, Dennis (Debbie) Jerrett and numerous nieces and nephews.
A man of unwavering dedication, Walter was known for his tireless work ethic and boundless love. As a coach and mentor, he left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to cross his path. His legacy endures as a source of lifelong lessons and inspiration.
Walter's selflessness was evident in all he did, consistently prioritizing others before himself. His impact on everyone he encountered was profound and lasting. Beyond his work, he found joy in cooking for his family, rambunctiously engaging his grandchildren before bedtime, sharing fishing adventures with them and asking, "Penny for your thoughts?". The softball and baseball fields were his second home, where he cheered on his five grandchildren as they played. His legacy lives on in the precious memories he created, a testament to his love and care.
His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed, leaving a lasting imprint on the lives he touched.
"Love ya tons, Kiddo."
