Washington Norfleet Jr, 71 of Virginia Beach, VA died May 15, 2021

Washington was born July 24, 1949 in Halifax, NC to Washington and Mamie Norfleet. He passed away on Saturday May 15, 2021. He is survived by his wife Vera of 36 years and his daughter Kimberly (Torre). His two sisters Marie (Maime Lee) Gunter (NC) and Mildred Atkinson (Linwood)(NC) and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces & nephews.

Washington served in the military (Army) at a young age during the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart and Silver Star for his bravery. Years later he decided to make a change in his life and dedicate his life to Jehovah God as one of Jehovah Witnesses. He served as a ministerial servant and was a pioneer for over 15 years. Even though illness slowed down a lot of the spiritual activities that he loved he continued to do as much as he could.

Those who met Washington would always say he had a stern demeanor but had a bright warm smile, protective spirit and would talk to you for hours and leave you with life lessons, and words of advice.

He loved going out for rides, listening to good music and loved GOOD FOOD!! He will be remembered as a great protector and provider and loved his family to the very end. We look forward to the words at Rev 21: 3, 4 being fulfilled and we will see him again.
